In the name of God Amen the 15th day of February in the Year of our Lord 1721 I Thomas Wright of Eastwell in the County of Leic Husbandman being Sick and weak in Body but of Sound and perfect memory praise be given to God for the same and knowing the uncertainty of this life on Earth & being desireouse to settle things in Order do make his my last will and Testament in manner & form following vizt
First & principally I commend my Soul to Almighty God my Creatour assuredly believing that I shall receive full pardon & free Remission of all my Sins & be Saved by the precious Death & merits of my Saviour Jesus Xt and my Body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be Buried in such decent & Xian manner as to my Executrix hereafter named shall be thought meet & convenient
And as touching Such worldly Estate as the Lord in Mercy hath lent me my Will & meaning is the Same shall be imploy’d & bestowed as hereafter by this my Will is expressed
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Son Henry Wright one Bed Stead one long Table in the House one Brass pot
Item I give unto my Son Henry Wright all my wearing apparel
Item I give unto Elizabeth Wright my Gran Daughter one Brass pot and a Couple of Blankets
It I give unto Mary Goodson the Sume of one Shilling
It I give unto Mary Littledike the Sume of one Shilling
It I give and bequeath unto Margaret Francis the Sume of one Shilling
Item I give unto my Daughter Margaret Wright all the Remainder of my Household Goods whatsoever
Item I give unto the said Margaret Four Cows Two Calfs and I do nominate & appoint the sd Margaret Wright my sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I do revoke renounce frustrate and make void all Wills by me formerly made and do declare and appoint this my last Will and Testament as wittness my hand and Seal the Day and Year above written
