Roger Williams of Hose 1639 Will

March 4th 1638

In the name of God Amen I Roger Williams of Hose in the County of Leic Labourer being sicke in body but of perfect memory (praised be God) doe make this my Last will and testament in manner and forme foll vizt

First I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Almighty [“God” missing] my creator & redeemer & my body to be buried in the Church or Churchyard of Hose aforesaid

It I give unto Anne Williams my wife all my messuage house and close together with thapptenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the same for and dureing the tearme of her naturall Life and after her decease I give graunt and bequeath the said messuage or tenement and close together with their and every of their apptenances unto my Sonn Nicholas Williams his heires & assignes for ever he the said Nicholas paying unto John Williams my Sonne the summe of twenty nobles in manner and forme following vizt fifty shillings upon the first day of May 1640 and fifty shillings upon the first day of May 1641 and thirty three shillings four pence within one yeare next after the death of Anne Williams my said wife

And also pay unto Christopher Williams my Sonne the summe of forty shillings within one yeare next after the decease of the said Anne William Provided alwaies if the said Nicholas does not give his security to Anne Williams or her executors at or before the first day of June which shalbe Anno 1640 for the payment of the said summes of money that then  my will is that Anne my said wife shall have the said messuage with the apptenance to her heires and assigns for ever any thing to the contrary in the presents notwithstanding

It I make the said Anne Williams my wife full executrix of this my Last will and testament to whom I give all my goods moveable & unmoveable (my debts and Legacys being first paid and my funerall expence discharged)
