Edward Wilford of Long Clawson 1852 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Wilford of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Famer as follows

First I direct that all my just Debts funeral and Testamentary Expences be fully paid

I give devise and bequeath all that my Messuage or Tenement Yard Garden Outbuildings and Homestead Adjoining containing Two Roods or thereabouts And also all those several closes of land called the Hill Closes containing Thirty Three Acres or Thereabouts situate standing lying and being in the Parish and Lordship of Long Clawson aforesaid and all other my real Estate with their Appurtenances And also all my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind the same may be of which I shall die possessed of unto my Dear Wife Martha Wilford and her Assigns for her to have the free use and enjoyment thereof for and during such part of her natural life only as she shall continue my Widow and from and immediately after the death or Marriage of my said Wife Then I give devise and bequeath all my aid Real and personal Estate and Effects unto my Son William Wilford his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever subject nevertheless to the following proviso

Provided and my Will expressly is That in case my aid Wife shall happen to marry again Then I give to her the Sum of four shillings to be paid to her weekly and every week during her natural life by my said son William Wilford And I direct the same may not be Subject to the debts controul or engagement of any future Husband but that the same be paid to her alone and that her receipt alone shall be a sufficient discharge to my said Son And I give to my said Wife the same power of enforcing payment thereof has Landlords have for obtaining Rent in arrear and do therefore charge my said Real as well as personal Estate with the due payment thereof

And I do hereby appoint my said Wife Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty ninth day of July One thousand eight hundred and thirty four
