In the name of god Amen I John Watson of Harbye in the County of Leicester yeoman beinge in good and perfect health and in wholl and sound mind & memory praysed be the Lord therefore doe make this my Last will and testament in manner and forme following vide

First I bequeath my soule unto thands of almightie god my maker trustinge to be saved in and through the merritts death and passion of Jesus Christ my redeemer And my body to be buryed whear it shall please the Lord to appoint

And touching my worldly goods I doe will that they shalbe and remaine and I doe give and bequeath them as followeth

And first I doe give and bequeath unto James Watson my eldest son xiid unto Richard Watson my second son xiid unto Thomas Watson my third son xiid unto Willm Watson my fourth son xiid unto John Watson my fifth son xiid unto … Watson my sixt son xiid unto Alice Watson my eldest daughter xiid unto Magdaline Watson my second daughter xiid unto Isabell Watson my third daughter xiid And unto Jane Watson my fourth daughter xiid

And I doe make and ordayne Mary my Wife my full and sole executrix of this my last will and testament unto whom I doe give and bequeath all the rest of my goods cattells and chattells whatsoever my debts beinge paid and my legacyes and funerall discharged

In Wittness whereof I have hear unto sett my hand and seale the xxviiith daye of September 1626 in the yeare of the reign of our Soveraign Lord Charles by the grace of god of England Scotland France and Ireland Kinge defender of the faith &c the second
