George Ward of Harby 1830 Will

This is my last Will and Testament of me George Ward of Harby in the County of Leicester

I Give and bequeath unto my Nephew George Ward of Hose in the County of Leicester a Wool Bed a large Pewter Dish a Round Table and three plates and ten Pounds to be paid one year after my Death

I Give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Hickton of Nottingham a Bed a large Pewter Dish a Table and three plates and Ten Pounds to be paid one year after my Death

I Give and bequeath unto my Wife Martha Ward all the remainder part of my Household Goods, other Goods Stock Chattle [sic] Chattles Right Ready money, Subject to the payment of all my Debts

I do hereby appoint her Soul Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby Revokeing all former Wills

In Witness whereof I the said George Ward the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this eighteenth day of March in the year or our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine

Signed Seal’d published and declared by the said Testator George Ward as and for this [sic] last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due execution thereof

Appeared personally William Orson of Harby in the County of Leicester Farmer and Grazier and made Oath that he was called upon to draw up and make the last Will and Testament of George Ward late of Harby aforesaid deceased And that upon proceeding to do so he commenced Writing upon the Sheet of Paper hereunto annexed and now marked with the Letter (A) And having made several Errors in what he had written he cut off a portion of such Sheet of Paper in manner and form as it now appeared and recommenced the Writing of the last Will and Testament of the said deceased on the remainder of the said Sheet And the Deponent saith that no part of what he had first written in was either signed or sealed by the said deceased And that the said Will is now in the same state plight and condition as it was when executed by the said deceased in the presence of this Deponent and of Thomas Musson the two subscribed Witnesses to the same
