In the name of gode Amen This fourth daye of Auguste in the 13 yeare of the raygne of or Soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of god, of England, Scotland, France & Irelande Kinge defender of the faith &c 1637 I Thomas Touns of the towne of Claxton als long Clauston, in the Countie of Leceister, Laborer, beinge sicke of bodie but of good & perfect memorye praysed bee god doe make & ordayne this my last will & testament in manner & forme followeing

In primis I give & bequeave my soule to god that gave it, & my bodie to be buried in the Church yard of the parishe church of Claxton aforesaide

Itim I give unto my eldest sonn Richarde Touns xxs

Itim I give unto my second sonne Thomas Touns 12 pence

The rest of all my goods and Chattells, unbequeaved I give & bequeave unto my loveinge wife Alice Touns & to my daughter Marye Touns whome I make & ordayne Joyntly both of them together executrices of this my last will & testament, to see my debts & legacies payed, & my bodie brought reverently brought to the ground

Lastly I make & ordaine John Foster & William Nicholson of Claxton aforesaid, overseers of this my last will & testament
