May 12th 1721 In the Name of God, Amen, According to the computation of the Church of England I Robert Taylor Senr of Nether Broughton In the County of Leicester, Taylor, Being In Perfect Memory & Remembrance, Praised be God, Do Make & Institute this my Last Will & Testament, In Manner & Form Following
First I Bequeath my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God My Maker, Hoping that through the Meritorious Death & Passion of Jesus Xt My Only Saviour & Redeemer, To Receive free Pardon & Remission of all my Sins, & As for my Body to be Bury’d In Christian Burial att the Discretion of my Executrix hereafter Nominated
Item, I give unto my son Thomas one shilling
Item, I give unto my son Richard one shilling
Item, I give unto my son Robert one shilling
Item, I give unto my son John one shilling
Item, I give unto my daughter Ann one shilling
Item, I give unto my daughter Dorothy one shilling
Item, I give unto my son William one shilling
Item, I give my House & Land To Ann My Lawfull Wife During Life & after her Decease To my son Thomas & his Heirs For Ever Upon Condition That he Shall Pay These Following Legacies
Item, I give to my son John 5 Pounds to be paid out of the House & Land
Item, I give to my daughter Ann 5 Pounds to be paid out of the House & Land
Item, I give to my daughter Dorothy 5 Pounds to be paid out of the House & Land
Item, I give to my Son William 5 Pounds to be paid out the House & Land
Item, These Four Last that have 5 Pounds each that Dye with out Issue that It shall be att my Wifes Disposing If alive But If otherwise to be Divided Amongst the other Three
Item, I make my Dear Wife Ann Sole Executrix of this My Last Will & Testament of all My Goods & Chattels
Item, These Goods & Chattels att her Disposing
Item, the Goods in the House after my Wife’s Decease to be Divided betwixt my 2 Daughters Ann & Dorothy
