Anthony Spenser of Nether Broughton 1685 Will

In the name of god amen: The first day of March 1684 according to the Computation of the Church of England I Antony Spenser of Neither Broughton in the County of Leicester weaver Being of perfect memory and Remembrance praised be god do make my Last will and Testament in manner and forme following viz

First I bequeath my Soul into the hands of almighty god my maker hoping that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and Redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sines and as for my body to be buried in Christian burial at the Discretion of my Executrix hereafter nominated

Item, I give unto my Brother Richard and his wife Ann each of them one shilling

Item, I give unto my Brother John and his wife Mara each of them one shilling

Item, I give unto my sister Ann and her husband each of them one shilling

Item I give unto my sister Mara and her husband each of them one shilling

Item, all the rest of my Tenement and goods whatsoever I give unto Katherine my wife upon Condition that she shall pay all my debts and Legacies and make her sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament revoking all other wills and testements

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day of the yeare first above written
