In the name of god amen in the yere of our lorde god 1577 the xvth day of maie in the nineteenth yere of the raigne of our Soveraigne Ladie Elizabethe by the grace of god Quene of Inglande Frannce and Ireland Defender of the faithe &c I George Sharpe of Statherne in the countie of Leicester husbandman sicke in bodie whole in minde and of good and perfecte remembrance thanks be to allmightie god Do ordain and make this my last will and Testament I manner and forme folowinge
First I bequiethe my Soule to allmightie god my maker and redemer and my bodie to be buryed in the churche of Statherne
First I give to the poorest sorte of people in Statherne vs
Item I give to the poore of Syton viiis iiiid
Item I give to the poore of Harebye iiis
Item I give to the poore of Plungar iiix
Item I give and bequiethe to my mother Churche tenne of my best sheepe hogge that I bought at Castor
Item I give and bequiethe unto Cassander my wief all suche interest as I have in the farme also I give unto her tenne pounds of moneye
Item I give to Thomas Sharpe my sonne xl
All the reste of my goods I will shalbe equallie devyded into three partes whereof I will that my five children shall have two partes and my wief the third parte
Also my will is that my wief shall have the kepinge of my childrens partes untill they come to their Lawfull ages
Also I will that if god do call … of my three children before they come to their lawfull ages that the parte of them deceased shalbe equallie devyded amongst the rest of my children
Also I do constitue and make Cassander my wief and Thomas my sonne my Lawfull executors of this my last will and Testament wytnesses hereof Thomas Rowse Thomas Blanckneye Willyam Clarke Edmunde Hall and Henrie Flower
