In the Name of God Amen I George Rose of Stathorne in the Countie of Leicester Mason being perfect in memorie but weake in bodie doe make and ordeine this my last will and testament as followeth
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of almightie god trusting only to be saved through the meritts of Jesus Christ my only saviour & redeemer & my bodie to be buried within the Churchyard of Stathorne aforesaid
Imprimis I give unto my loveing wife fortie shillings and unto my Children six pounds Current money of England to be equally devided amongst them
Item I give unto my daughters Grace & Bridgett all the linninge that was my first wives according unto her request made unto me in that behalf
Itm I give unto my wife Elizabeth the third part of the … of my household stuffe & all other my household stuffe my will is shalbe devided equally amongst my Children
Item I give amongst all my Children aforesaid the eleaven sheepe I have
Item I give unto my wife two hives of bees and a Cow which my wife brought with her and the Cow and the Quee to my Children aforesaid
Item my will is that Mr Doctor Derham shall dispose of my house as he shall thinke good for the good of my wife & Children
Itm I make my sonnes Roger Rose & William Rose the Executors of this my last will & testament
In wittnesse whereof I have subscribed my name this first day of Februarie 1620 [1620/1]
