This is the last Will and Testament of me William Pickard of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Yeoman

I Give the House wherein I reside at Long Clawson aforesaid together with the outbuildings Garden and Orchard thereto belonging unto my Nephew Day Scarborough his heirs and assigns for every Subject to the privilege of his Father Richard Scarborough residing therein jointly with him rent free during his the said Richard Scarborough’s Life and to the payment of the Legacies hereinafter mentioned

I Give to my Nephew Harry Scarborough the sum of Nineteen pounds and to my Nieces Ruth and Dinah the sum of Ten pounds each which several Legacies I direct to be paid to them by my Executor hereinafter named at the expiration of twelve Calendar Months after my decease

I also Give to my Niece Dinah my best Feather Bed

And as to for and concerning the rest residue and remainder of my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever subject to the payment of my just debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses I Give and bequeath the same unto the said Day Scarborough and appoint him Executor of this my Will

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight

On the thirty first day of October 1864 the Will of William Pickard late of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Yeoman was proved by the oath of Day Scarborough Nephew of the deceased the sole Executor named in the said Will he having been first sworn duly to administer

Sworn under £20 and that the Testator died on the ninth day of October 1863
