This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Pick of Scalford in the County of Leicester Widow

I give and bequeath the Interest of all my money and the use of all my household Goods and effects to my Sister Amy Stevenson during her life and after her decease I give and bequeath all my money, household goods & other personal Estate to my nephew Samuel Stevenson subject nevertheless to the Payment of my Debts and the following Legacies to be paid at the expiration of twelve months after my Sisters death, if the Legatees shall be then living, but if they shall be dead at the time of my Sister’s death the Legacy of him or her so dying to lapse

I give to my great Nephew George Stevenson one hundred Pounds, to my great Niece Ann Stevenson Forty Pounds, and to my cousin William Mowsley of Loughborough Labourer nineteen Guineas

And I appoint my said Nephew Samuel Stevenson Executor of this my Will

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 23d May 1840

Appeared personally George Huckerby of Scalford in the County of Leicester Yeoman and made Oath that he is one of the subscribed Witnesses to the last Will and Testament of Sarah Pick late of Scalford aforesaid Widow deceased bearing Date the twenty third day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty now hereunto annexed and marked with the latter A

And he further made Oath that on the twenty third day of May aforesaid the said Testatrix duly executed her last Will by making her Mark at the foot or end thereof and publishing the same as her Will in the presence of this Deponent and of John Evans the other subscribed Witness thereto who were then together present at the same time with the said Deceased and this Deponent and the said John Evans thereupon attested and subscribed the said Will in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other

Seventh day of June 1842

Samuel Stevenson of Scalford in the County of Leicester Farmer the Executor in this Will named was duly sworn to the Truth and faithful performance thereof as usual, and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Deceased do not amount in value to the Sum of Three Hundred Pounds and that the deceased died on the eighth day of December last past
