Thomas Parnham of Plungar 1760 Will and Inventory

In the Name of God Amen

I Thomas Parnham of the Parish of Plungar & County of Leicester Farmer do make & ordain this my last Will & Testament in Manner & Form following

First I will that all my just Debts be paid & discharged

Item I give to my Son John one Guinea to be paid immediately after my Decease

Item I give & bequeath to my beloved Wife Ann Parnham all my Goods & Chattels quick & dead with all Monies Bills Bonds &c with whatsoever I shall die possessed of during the Term of her natural Life & no longer

It is also my Will & Desire that my Son John should buy all my Goods & Chattels Stock & Husbandry Gear at such a price as they shall be appraised at by two persons whom my wife & Son shall Name & likewise that my Son John shall give to my Wife such Security & such Interest for the money arising from the appraisement of my Goods as she shall demand

But if my Son John refuse to buy my Goods & Chattel Stock & Husbandry Gear at such a price as they shall be appraised at, it is my Will that my Wife disposes of them in publick Sale & puts out the Money arising from the Sale thereof to Interest for her own Use & Advantage so long as she continues my Widow & no longer

Item I give & bequeath to my Son John Parnham all my Bills Bonds with whatsoever I shall die possessed of after my Wifes Decease But in Case my Son John should not survive his Mother I dispose of it as follows viz I leave it entirely to the Disposal of my beloved wife Ann Parnham nominating & appointing her sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking & disannulling all other Wills by me heretofore made
