This is the last Will and Testament of me William Palmer of Guadaloupe in the Lordship of Eye Kettleby in the parish of Melton Mowbray in the County of Leicester Yeoman made this eleventh day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty three
First I direct that all such Depts as I shall justly owe at the time of my decease and my funeral charges shall be fully paid and satisfied by my Executrix hereinafter mentioned and as to my Estate I dispose thereof as follows
I Give and bequeath unto my Sister Mary the wife of Thomas Adcock the sum of ten pounds to be paid to her by my said Executrix within twelve Months after my decease
I also Give and Bequeath unto my Sister Alice the wife of Henry Stones the like sum of ten pounds to be paid also to her by my said Executrix within twelve Months after my decease
I also Give and bequeath unto my Neice and God daughter Alice Stones (the Daughter of my said Sister Alice Stones) the like sum of ten pounds to be paid also to her by my said Executrix within twelve Months after my decease
I Give unto my Father William Goodman Palmer all my wearing apparel of every kind and sort
And as to for and concerning all and every my ready Money and Securities for Money Goods Cattle and personal estate whatsoever I Give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my Sister Diana the Wife of Edward Smith whom I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other wills by me heretofore made
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the day and year above written

Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses hereunto in the presence and at the request of the said Testator

Let a Probat be made to Diana Smith the sole Executrix
She being duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the will as that the Testator’s Goods Chattels and Credits do not amount in value to the sume of three hundred Pounds
Before me Pigott Surr
