In the Name of God Amen I John Moore the elder of Ab Kettleby in the County of Leicester yeoman being weakly & infirm in body but of good and perfect memory & understanding (I blesse God therefore) do make & ordayn this my last Will and Testament in manner & form as followeth
First & principally I do freely & willingly resign and yield up my soul into the hands of Almighty God my most gracious & loveing father hopeing & firmly believing to enjoy everlasting life and salvation by & through the alone and alsufficient merrits and satisfaction of my most blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
My body I comitt to the earth whence it came to be interred at the discretion of my dear & loveing wife my executrix herein after appointed
And concerning my worldly estate & Goods I dispose of the same as followeth (vizt)
First I give to my elder daughter Elizabeth Caunt the legacy of One shilling and to my Grandson Thomas Caunt her son the legacy of five shillings
Also I give to my younger Daughter Jane & to my son in Law Willm Smart her husband each of them One shilling
And all the rest & residue of my Goods Credits Cattle & Chells (after my just debts shalbe paid & satisfied & my funerall expences defray’d & discharged) I give unto & leave with Grace my dear & loveing wife whom I do ordayn constitute and appoint to be the sole executrix of this my last will
In witnes whereof I have hereunto set & put my last will & Testament the Eight day of September in the fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Anne by the grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland Queen defender of the faith &c Annoq dni 1705
