To all Christian people to whom this present writeing Shall come Thomas Marriott the elder of Claxton als Long Clawson in the County of Leicester yeoman Sendeth greeting in our Lord God everlasting

Know ye That I Thomas Marriott the elder as well for the natrall love and affection and for the payment of Two hundred & fifty pounds in hand payd by William Marriot of Claxton aforesaid my Son & heire apparent and alsoe in performance of my promise made at his marriage Have given granted delivered and Confirmed and by these presents doe fully freely & absolutely give grant deliver and Confirme unto the said William Marriott my Son and heire his Executors admors & Assignes for ever all other my goods quicke or dead moveable & unmoveable goods cattell & Chattells houshould stuffe & Implements of husbandry horses kine Sheepe and swine and all other my goods whatsoever and wheresoever they be found To have hold and receive Take & enjoy the said goods cattell & chattells and all and singular other the premisses with their and every of their appurtences & every part & parcell thereofe Unto the said William Marriott my Son his Excors Admors or Assignes for ever by these presents And I the said Thomas Marriott for my selfe my Excors admores & Assignes doe Covenant grant & agree to and with the said William Marriott my sonne his Excors Admors and Assignes That he the said William Marriott his Excors & Assignes shall and lawfully may from time to time and at all times hereafter peaceably & quietly have hold use receive take & enjoy the said goods cattell & chattells & all and singular other the premisses and every part and parcel thereof without the lett trouble suit demand molestation or disturbance of me the said Thomas Marriott my Excors Admors or Assignes of any other person or persons whatsoever having or lawfully Claimeing or which hereafter shall have or may lawfully claime by from or under and my right or title

In witnesse whereof I the said Thomas Marriot have hereunto set my hand & seale the six & Twentieth day of March in the Twenty Seaventh yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the Second by the grace of God King of England Scotland France & Ireland defender of the faith &c
