In the name of God Amen

The twenty Eight Day October In the year of our Lord 1731 I Sary Marriott of Long Clawson Maiden in the County of Leicester being very sick and weake in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be Given to Almighty God for it Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is apointed for all men once to Dye I Do make and ordaine this my last Will and testament that is to say principaly and first of all I give and Recomend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and for my Body I Recomend It to Earth to be buried in a Christian like manner att the Discretion of my Executors Nothing Doubting butt att the genaral [“resurrection” missing] I shall Receive the same againe by the Allmightye power of God and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I Give Devise and Dispose of in the following maner and forme

Imprimis I Give and bequeath to my Dear Mother Mary Hall the sum of five pounds to by her mourning

Item I give and bequeath to my father William Hall the sum of five pounds for to bye Mourning

Item I Give and bequeath to my Brother William Hall five pounds

Item I Give and bequeath to the poor of Long Claxton Alias Long Clawson the sum of five pounds the interest thereof to be Given in money on the same day of the month Whereof I am buried and so to continue and the Disposing of it att my Relations and the Minister and Churchwardens

Item I give and bequeath to my Brother John Marriott and my Sister Mary Marriott whom I likewise Constitute make and ordaine my only and soul Exectors of this my Last Will and testament all and singular Whatsoever upon dews or demands or any thing Else belonging to me and I do hereby utterly disallow Revoke and Disanull all and Every other former testaments Wills and legacies Requests and Excetors by me In any wayes before this time named Willed and bequeathed Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and testament
