Robert Marriott of Long Clawson 1727 Will and Inventory

In the Name of God Amen I Robert Marriott of Claxton als Long Clawson in the County of Leic Shepherd being in health of body and of sound mind and Understanding praised be Almighty God for the Same but Considering the Uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
Imprimis I resign my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and my body I committ to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executrix herein after named and as for my temporal estate which it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and bequeath the Same as follows (Viz)
I give devise and bequeath Unto my Son Robert Marriott and his heires All that my messuage or tenement with their and every of the appurtenances Situate and being in Claxton aforesaid And also all those my three odd Lands Situate and lying within the Several fields of Hose in the County of Leic now in the possession of me the Said Robert Marriott Subject nevertheless to the payment of the Sum of Five pounds which I hereby give Unto my daughter Mary to be paid to her within twelve months after my decease And I do hereby Charge my aforesaid Messuage or tenement and three Lands with the payment of the said sum of five pounds So given Unto my Said daughter Mary as aforesaid
Item I give and bequeath Unto my daughter Elizabeth Marriott all my Lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever Situate and being in Clawson aforesaid which I lately purchased to me and my heirs of and from one Thomas Wright To Hold to her her heires and assignes for ever
Item I give and bequeath Unto my Son John Marriot & daughter Amy Marriott one shilling apiece
Item all the rest of my Goods Cattle Chattles and personal estate whatsoever my debts Legacies and funeral expences being first thereout paid and discharged I give and bequeath Unto my said daughter Elizabeth Marriott whom I hereby make full and Sole executrix of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made declaring this to be my last Will and testament
In Witness whereof I the said Robert Marriott have hereunto Set my hand and Seale this eighteenth day of October Anno dni 1726
