The Last
will and Testament of John Mariot of Claxton Eas [sic[ Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Joyner Made the 18
day of the Month called August Anno dom 1703 to the in tent that all My goods
and chattels May hear after com unto such persons and remain and be unto such
uses as by me the said John Marriot heare in do and shall Limet and Appoint in
this my Last will do therfore will order give and devise as followeth
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto My 3 younger Children thirty pounds which My
Son Richard Marriot is to pay Six Months after the decease of mee and My wife
that is to say ten pounds to My dauter Dority Marriot and ten pounds to My
dauter Hanah Marriot and ten pounds to My son John Marriot
Itam I give My son Richard Marriott the sum of five shillings
Itam I give My dauter Mary Marriot the sume of five shillings
Itam I give unto poore frends of Clawson meeting the sume of five shillings
Itam I give unto the poore of Clawson the sum of five shillings
I doe hear by make authorise and a point My Loveing wife Ann Marriot and My son John Marriot Joynte Executors of this my last will and Testament
In witness whearof I have to this My Last will set my hand and Seale the day and year above
