25 Augt 1847 T Mann Elizabeth heretofore of Hickling in the County of Nottingham but late of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester

This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Mann late of Hickling but now of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Widow

I give and bequeath the following Legacies to be paid at the expiration of Twelve Months from my death (viz)

To my late husbands Nephew Thomas Bonser Fifty Pounds

To his late [sic] Nephew John Bonser Fifty Pounds

To my late husbands Niece Elizabeth Daft Fifty Pounds

To my Niece Mary Cooley One hundred Pounds

To Mr William Latham of Melton Mowbray Thirty Pounds for his trouble in being one of my Executors

In case any of the above Legatees shall die before me I direct his or her Legacy to be paid to his or her Child or Children so dying in equal Shares and proportions if more than one and if such dying Legatee shall leave no Child or Children the same to lapse

I do not leave my Nephew Thomas Barton any thing as I have given him more than any of the above Legacies in my life time

Subject to the payment of Debts funeral and Testamentary expences and the above Legacies I give and bequeath all my personal Estate and Effects to my late Sisters husband Joel Shuttlewood of Clawson aforesaid absolutely

And I appoint the said Joel Shuttlewood and the said William Latham joint Executors of this my Will for the purposes aforesaid

In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Mann the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of April one thousand eight hundred and Forty two

Signed published and declared by the said Elizabeth Mann the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses

This is a Codicil to the Will of me the above named Elizabeth Mann

I revoke the Legacy of Fifty Pounds given to Elizabeth Daft

I give and bequeath all the Residue of my personal Estate after payment of my Debts and Legacies to Sarah Eleanor Shuttlewood the Widow of the said Joel Shuttlewood absolutely

I give to John Bonser half a dozen Silver Table Spoons

I give and devise all those my three Closes and real Estate situate at Hickling in the County of Nottingham which I and the late Joel Shuttlewood purchased together and which I have now a power of disposing of unto the said Sarah Eleanor Shuttlewood and to her heirs and assigns for ever

And I appoint the said Sarah Eleanor Shuttlewood joint Executrix of my Will and this Codicil with the said William Latham

In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Mann the Testatrix have to this Codicil to my said above written Will set my hand this twenty seventh day of July one Thousand eight hundred and forty six

Sarah Eleanor Shuttlewood of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Widow and William Latham of Melton Mowbray in the same County Gentleman the Executrix and Executor in this Will and Codicil named were duly sworn to the Trust and faithful performance thereof as usual, and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the Sum of three Hundred Pounds and that the deceased died on the ninth day of June last past

On the 25th Augt 1847 Orig Will exhibited before the Rev Jemson Davies Clerk Master of Arts and Surrogate of the Commissary and Probate decreed to pass Seal to the above named Sarah Eleanor Shuttlewood and William Latham in the presence of
