Mary Lamb of Nether Broughton 1830 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Lamb of Nether Broughton in the county of Leicester, Spinster, that is to say

I give and bequeath to my Mistress Elizabeth Brett of Broughton aforesaid whatsoever property I may possess at the time of my decease (in Trust) only that she may first defray the expences of my Funeral, pay all my just debts and divide the Residue equally between my Brother Robert Lamb, by Brother William Lamb and my Sister Hannah Cawood

I give and bequeath all my Books to Sarah Lowther of Hull, except the Christian Reformer which I give to Mrs Brett aforesaid

I give & bequeath my wearing apparel to be divided between the three daughters of Hannah Cawood aforesaid and the three daughters of Thomas Baldwin of Leeds.  My Flannel gown I give to Mary Forster of Upper Broughton

And I hereby revoke all other wills and declare this to be my last will as witness my hand and seal this fourteenth day of September One thousand eight hundred and twenty one

Let a probat be made to Elizabeth the Wife of Thomas Brett of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Grazier the sole Executrix according to the tenor of the Will of Mary Lamb who died 14th Sep 1829

She having been first duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the Goods Chattles and Credits of the Testatrix without deducting any debts due and owing by the deceased therefrom do not amount in value to the sum of Two hundred pounds

On the 4th Octr 1830 Will exhibited before the Revd Wm Lowfield Fancourt Clerk DD and Surrogate and Probate deemd to pass Seal in the presence of
