In the Name of God amen I Robert Julian of Hose in the County of Leicester Frameworknitter being in health of body and of Sound and perfect mind and Understanding praised be almighty God but considering the Uncertainty of this life and the certainty of death do make this my last will and Testament in Manner following (that is to say)

First I resign my Soul into the hands of almighty God my Creator and my body to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my executrix herein after named And as for my temporal Estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose of the Same as followes (to Wit)

I give and devise all that my Close of meadow or pasture ground and three leys thereto belonging Situate and lying in Hose aforesaid late the estate of Mr Vosey Unto my Mother Joyce Julian for and during the Term of her natural life And from and after her decease Then I give and devise the same Close and three leys Unto my brother William Julian and his heirs for ever

Also I give and devise all that messuage or tenement with the homestead and appurtenances in Hose aforesaid now in my own possession with the Orchard which I bought of Richard Rouse and also all that my half oxgang of Land in Hose aforesaid which I bought of Thomas Stokes and now in the possession of me or my assignes And all other my Lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever in Hose aforesaid And all that my Cottage house or Tenement with the appurtenances belonging thereto Situate and Standing in Melton Mowbray in the said County of Leicester now in the possession of Mrs Garbett Unto my dear and loving wife Elizabeth Julian for and during the Term of her natural life if she so long Continues my Widow Subject nevertheless and Chargeable with the yearly payment of the Sum of four pounds ten shillings Unto my Said Mother Joyce Julian for and during the Term of her natural life by two half yearly payments (to Wit) upon the feast of the Annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary and the feast of Saint Michael the Archangell the first payment to be made Upon Such of the said Days and shall first and next happen after my decease And it is my Will That the said Annual Sum of four pounds ten shillings with the yearly rents arising to her out of the said Close and three leys devised to her for life as aforesaid shall be in full payment of the yearly Sum of Six pounds I have obliged my self to pay by a certain Writing Under my hand and Seale Dated the 21 day of September in the year of our Lord 1724

And from and after the decease of my Said Wife Then I give and devise all my said Messuage Lands and hereditaments so given to her as aforesaid Unto my Said Mother Joyce for and during the Term of her natural life And from and after the deceases of my Said Wife and Mother Then I give and devise all my aforesaid Messuage or Tenement Lands and hereditaments so given Unto them for their lives as aforesaid Unto my Nephew Robert Julian youngest Son of my Said brother William Julian and to his heires and assignes for ever yet nevertheless if it so happen that my Said Wife Elizabeth Julian shall Marry again That then and in such Case it is my express Will and intent And I Do hereby devise all my Said Messuage Lands and hereditaments So given Unto my said Wife for her life as aforesaid Unto my Said Nephew Robert Julian and to his heires for ever to be entered Upon immediately after Such Marriage he paying out of the Same One Annuity or Yearly rent Charge of four pounds Unto her my Said Wife for and during the Term of her natural life only And paying out of the Same Unto my Said Mother her Said Annuity of four pounds ten Shillings in Manner as aforesaid

Also I give Unto my Said loving Wife One years profitts of my part of the Wind Mill in Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the said County of Leicester to be accounted from day of death And from and after the end and expiration of the Term of one Year Then I give and bequeath Unto my Said brother William Julian all my right Interest and property of and in the said Mill to hold to him and his heires for ever

Also I give and bequeath Unto the Children of my Cousin Elizabeth Boyer of Twyford Ten Shillings apiece

Also I give Unto my Nephew William Julian eldest son of my Said brother William Julian Ten Shillings

Also I give Unto my Cousin Robert Julians Children each of them Ten Shillings Provided always nevertheless and it is my express Will and Mind That my Said Nephew Robert Julian and his heires Shall out of the Said Messuage or Tenement Lands and hereditaments So given to him pay the full and Just Sum of twenty pounds Unto his Sister Mary daughter of my Said brother William Julian as a legacy Thereby give her to be paid to her within Six Months after the death of my Said Wife and Mother or within Six Months after he comes to the possession of the Same Lands And I do hereby Charge all my Said Messuage Lands and hereditaments So given Unto the Said Robert Julian with the payment of the Said Sum of twenty pounds Unto my Said Niece Mary Julian as aforesaid

Also all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Cattle Chattles and personal Estate of what kind soever my Debts Legacies and funeral expences being first thereout paid and discharged I give and bequeath Unto my Said loving Wife Elizabeth whom I hereby appoint full and Sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made declaring this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the Said Robert Julian the Testator have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Ninth day of June in the year of our Lord 1741
