Richard Hubbard of Long Clawson 1669 Will

In the name of God Amen I Richard Hubbord of Long Clawson in the Countye of Leicester husbandman being of perfect memory and Remembrance praised be God do make and ordain this my Last will and Testament in manner and forme following

Imprimis I give and bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker and to Jesus Christ his dear Son my sweet and onely saviour hopeing assuredly to be saved by and through the passion death and blood shed of my said Saviour Jesus Christ And I commit my body to the Earth from whence it came and to be buried in Christian buriall at the discretion of my executors hereafter nominated

Item I give and bequeath unto my eldest son Richard half of my estate that will be found besids my debts and all my funerall expences

Item I give unto my other son John the other half of my estate that will be found besids my debts and all my funerall expences

And if either of my sonns dye viz my Son Richard or my Son John before they come to Receive there parts that then my whol estate to goe to the Survivour or Longest Liver

Item my Will and pleasure is that the interest of my estate may goe towards the bringing them up and that they shall be capable to receive the stock or that the stock shall be paid when my Sons are eighteen years of age And I desire my Loving friends Will: Guy and Thomas Marriott of the Churchyard side both of Long Clawson aforesaid to be Executors and to be Guardians over my children and Overseers of this my last Will and Testament and that every thing may be done according to truth and Equity

In Witness Where I Richard Hubbord have unto his my last Will and Testament Revoking all other Wills and Testaments put my hand & Seal this nineteenth day of February Anno Domini 1668
