This is the last Will and Testament of me William Holmes of Eastwell in the County of Leicester Grazier
I Give and bequeath to my Son John Holmes whom I make Executor of this my Will all my Estate and Effects whatsoever of which I may die possessed he paying my Debts and the following Legacies (namely)
To my Grandson Thomas Holmes the Son of my late Son William by Elizabeth Hall one hundred Pounds to be paid him at the age of twenty one years (without Interest) but if he shall die before his Legacy becomes payable the same shall be divided between my three Sons Edward, John and Thomas
To my Grandsons John and Edward (Sons of my late son Roger) thirty Pounds apiece to be paid to them at the Age of twenty one years with lawful Interest in the meantime from my death
To my Grandson John Holmes Son of my Son Thomas tenn Pounds to be paid at the Age of twenty one years without Interest
To my Son Edward the Sum of twenty Pounds and to my Son Thomas the Sum of twenty Pounds to be paid to them respectively within twelve Months after my death
In Witness whereof I the said William Holmes the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the seventeenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four

Let a probat be made to John Holmes the sole Executor within named he being duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the Testator’s Goods Chattels & Credits do not amount in value to the sum of four hundred & fifty pounds
