In the name of god Amen This second daye of November in the yeares of the Raigne of our Soveraigne lorde James by the grace of god of Englande, France and Ireland king defender of the faith &c the fifteen of Scotlande the fiftie & one 1617th I William Heapes of Claxton als Clauson in the countie of Leceister, laborer, beeinge sicke of bodye, but of good & perfect memorye (praysed bee god) doe make & ordayne this my last will & testament in manner followinge

Imprimis I give & bequeave my soule to god that gave it and my bodye to bee buried in the church yarde of Claxton aforesaide

Itm I give unto my daughter Isabell Heapes three poundes and sixe shillinges, eight pence of good and lawfull money of Englande for her filliall portion to bee put forwarde, to the best increase, and for her best behalf at the first day of Maye next comminge

I also give unto her my owne Cofer

They rest of all my goodes and Chattells unbequeaved I give and bequeave unto my loveing wife Anne Heapes whome I make & ordayne the sole executrixe of this my last Will and testament to see my Childe brought uppe and my bodye to bee reverently Brought to the grounde

Lastly I make William Guye thelder and William Guy the younger of Claxton aforesaide yeomen overseers of this my last will and Testament
