Stephen Hall of Long Clawson 1722 Will

In the name of God amen the 13 day of October in the year of our Lord 1722

I Stephen Hall in the County of Lester farmer of the town of Long Clawson being very sick and Weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for it Calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye I do make and ordaine this my last will and testament that is to say

Princebly and first of all I give and Recommend my soul into the hande of God that gave it and for my body I Recommend it to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Exectors nothing doubting but att the Great Resurrection I shall receve the same again by the myghtye pour of God and as tuching my worldly Estate whewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this Life I Give devise and dispose of the same as followeth

Iprimus I Give and bequeath to my Eldest daughter Elizabeth Palmer the sum of Ten pounds and her too children Georg Palmer and Mary Palmer the some of Ten pounds to each of them five pounds

Item I Give to my Eldest Son William Hall the som of fife shillings and to his son William Hall the sum of Ten pounds

Item I Give to my Son Stephen Hall the sum of fife shillings

Item I Give my daughter Mary Pearson [?] the sum of Ten pounds to be paide her att the desease of my beloved Wife and all the Legacies above mentioned are to be paid att the decese of my beloved Wife Elizabeth Hall

Item I Give and bequeathe to my beloved wife Elizabeth Hall Whom I likewise constitute make and apoint my only and soule Exceter of this my Last Will and Testament all and singular Whatever upon dews and demands at any thing else belonging to me and I do hereby utterly disavow revoke and disanull all and every other former Testaments Wills and Legacies Bequests and Exectors by me in many [sic] wayes before this Time named Willed and bequeathed Rattifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and year above writen
