This is the Last Will and Testament of me Ann Godfrey of Hose in the County of Leicester Widow

First I desire to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and as for my Worldly Estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with I Give and dispose thereof as follows

In the first place I Give and bequeath unto Dorothy Corner and Elizabeth Corner the two Daughters of my Kinsman John Corner the sum of Ten pounds apiece which I will shall be paid to them respectively when they shall attain to their respective ages of Twenty one years And I do hereby subject and Charge all my Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever with the just and true payment of the said several Legacies accordingly

And subject to the payment thereof I Give and devise all those my three undivided fourth parts (the whole into four equal parts to be divided) of and in All those three several Messuages Cottages or Tenements (one whereof is now used as a Barn) with the Gardens Orchards Homesteads Outbuildings and Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate standing and being in Hose aforesaid and now or late in the several Tenures or Occupations of the said John Corner, myself and John Turner And also my two undivided fourth parts (the whole into four equal part to be divided) of and in all that close or old inclosed Ground in Hose aforesaid called Kiln barn close And also of and in all those several pieces and parcels of Arable Land Ley Meadow and Pasture Ground lying and being dispersed in the Open and Common Fields of Hose aforesaid and containing together two Oxgangs and an half of Land or thereabouts and now in the Tenure of the said John Corner his Assignee or Assigns with the Commons and Appurtenances thereunto belonging And all other my Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever situate in Hose aforesaid or Elsewhere Unto my Kinsman the said John Corner and his Assigns for and during the term of his natural life

And from and immediately after his decease I Give and devise All my said Real Estate and premises and the parts and shares thereof unto John Corner the younger son of my said Kinsman John Corner and to his heirs and Assigns To Hold the same unto and to the use of the said John Corner the younger his heirs and Assigns for ever

And Lastly I Give and bequeath all my Household and other Goods Stock Cattle Chattels Implements of Husbandry Rights Credits ready money and Securities for money and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my said Kinsman John Corner whom I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Ann Godfrey the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twelfth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety two

Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Ann Godfrey the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due Execution thereof

Let a probat be granted to John Corner of Hose in the County of Leicester Blacksmith sole Executor within named

He the said John Corner being duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the will as that the Testator’s Goods Chattels and Credits do not amount in value to the sum of twenty Pounds
