Edward Gale of Hose 1812 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Edward Gale of Hose in the County of Leicester Yeoman being of sound and well Disposing mind Memory and Understanding do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in Order Following That is to say

I will that all my Debts and Funeral Charges be Paid and Discharged by my Executor herein after Named

Item I Give and bequeath unto my Grandson Francis Morris the Sum of Fifteen Pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Britain

Item I Give and Bequeath to my Great Grandson John Julian all my Household Furniture and Chattells with my Cow, Hay, and all Other Implements belonging to me; and if they should be Wasted or Destroyed Before he Arrives at the Age of Twenty-One Years, I will that he be Paid the sum of Thirty Pounds in Lieu of such Goods and Chattels aforesaid Out of his Father John Julian’s Share of Money hereafter Named

Also I Give to my Son Richard Julian the sum of Two Guineas as a small recompence for the trouble he will have in the Execution of this my Will

And all the Remainder of my Personal Estate whether Money, Bonds, Notes or other Securities Whatsoever I Give and Bequeath to my Grandson John Julian and my Grandaughter Elizabeth Adcock Equal Share and Share Alike but my Will is that my Grandson John Julian shall only receive the Interest of his Share of the Money untill his Son John Julian is Twenty-one years of Age and then to receive the Principle and my Grandaughter Elizabeth Adcock to receive her share at the end of Twelve Calendar Months After my Decease and it is my Will that no Money be called in or Demanded that is Owing to me Before the expiration of Twelve Calendar Months after my Decease

And I do hereby make Constitute and Appoint my Son Richard Julian my Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Trust

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this eighteenth Day of April one Thousand eight hundred and eleven

Signed, Sealed, Published and Pronounced by the said Edward Gale as his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who in his presence and in the Presence of each other have hereunto Subscribed our Names

Let a Probat be granted to Richard Julian of Harby in the County of Leicester Farmer the sole Executor within named He the said Richard Julian being duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the will as that the Testator’s Goods, Chattels & Credits do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred Pounds
