In the Name of God Amen I Henry Freckingham of Abb Kettleby in the County of Leicester farmer being Sick and Weak in Body But of Sound mind memory and understanding and Considering the uncertainty of this life Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

First of all I give my Soul to God that gave it me And my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executrix herein after mentioned And as for my worldly Estate which hath pleased God to bless me with I give and Dispose thereof as follows

In the first place I give and Devise All and Singular my Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever lying and being in Abb Kettleby aforesaid in the said County of Leicester or in the Severall fields and liberties thereof unto my Dear and loving wife Elizabeth Freckingham and her Assignes for and during and untill my Son William Freckingham Shall Attain his Age of Twenty one Years upon Condition that she my said Wife Elizabeth Freckingham Do and faithfully shall from time to time and att all times during an untill my Said Son William Freckingham Attains his Said Age of Twenty one Years find and provide for him my Said Son with good and sufficient meat Drink washing Clothing Maintenance and Education Suitable to his Degree and fortune

And When as As soon as my said Son William Freckingham shall so Attain his said Age of Twenty one years Then I give my Said Messuages Cottages Closes Lands and Tenements unto my Said Son William Freckingham his heirs and Assignes for ever

But my Mind and Will is that in case my said Son William Freckingham shall Dye and Depart this life before he Attains his said Age of Twenty one years That then and in Such case I order and direct and it is my Express desire that my Said Wife Elizabeth Freckingham shall and may peaceably and … have hold and Enjoy my Said Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements Hereditaments and premises for and during the Term of her Natural life And from and imediately after her decease and my Said Son William Freckingham being Dead as aforesaid Then I give and Devise my said Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements Hereditament and premises unto my Sister Susannah Skeritt the wife of Francis Skerritt and her heirs and Assignes for ever

And Lastly all and singular my Household Goods other Goods Stock Cattle Chattels rights Credits and personal Estate of what kind or Nature soever (my Debts and Funeral Expences being first paid and Discharged) I give and bequeath unto my said Dear and loving Wife Elizabeth Freckingham upon like Condition that she my said Wife Elizabeth Freckingham do and shall Maintain and Educate my Said Son William Freckingham in manner as aforesaid

And I do Appoint my said Wife Elizabeth Freckingham full and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament Revoking all former Wills by me att any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Henry Freckingham the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Eight
