This is the Last [“Will” missing] and Testament of me John Exton of Eastwell in the County of Leicester Gentleman as follows

I Give and Devise All those several Closes Pieces or Parcels of Land or Ground inclosed situate lying and being in the Lordship or Liberties of Newbold in the County of Leicester (subject to the payment of the Sum of Three thousand pounds due on the Mortgage of the said premises) and called by the several Names of The Foal house Close, The Near Upper ground, The Far Upper Ground, The Far Upper Ground Meadow, The Ozier Bed and Meadow, The Wile Hales Close, A Close called the Hole, The Six Land Close, and Beeby hill fall Meadow with their and every of their Appurtenances And also All my Messuages Cottages Closes Lands and Hereditaments situate standing lying and being in the Lordship or Liberties of Scalford in the County of Leicester with their Appurtenances And also all that my Share right and Interest of and in All that Capital Messuage or Tenement situate standing and being in Melton Mowbray in the said County of Leicester and called or known by the sign or name of the White Swan Inn Unto my youngest Son Thomas Exton his Heirs and Assigns for ever

I Give and Devise All my Messuages Cottages Closes (except those hereinbefore by me particularly given and devised by name to my said Son Thomas Exton) land Tenements Hereditaments and premises situate standing lying and being in the Lordship or Liberties of Newbold aforesaid with their and every of their Appurtenances And also All that Close or Piece of Ground inclosed situate lying and being in the Liberties of Old Marfield in the said County of Leicester and called by the Name of the Hooksold with the Appurtenances Unto my Eldest Son John Exton his Heirs and Assigns for ever

Lastly All my Household Goods other Goods Stock Cattle Chattels rights credits ready money securities for money and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or quality soever the same may be (subject to the payment of my Debts funeral and Testamentary Expences) I Give and bequeath unto my said two Sons John Exton and Thomas Exton and to their respective Executors Administrators and Assigns to be equally divided between them share and share alike And I do appoint my said two Sons joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Sixteenth day of December One thousand eight hundred and three

Let probat be granted to John Exton of Eastwell Farmer Executor of this will he being sworn to the due Execution of it & made oath that the whole personal Estate of The Testator at the time of his death October 27 1811 did not amount in value to the sum of Eight hundred pounds
