In the name of god Amen, Anno dni 1612 the xxth day of Aprill in the Tenth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne lord James by the grace of god kinge of England &c I Agnes Day of Claxton in the Countye of Leic widdow Beinge very sickly weake & feeble but yet of good & perfect remembrance, praised be god, doe make & ordayne this my last will & Testament in manner & forme followinge (utterly revokeing all former Wills made for me or in my name whatsoever or wheresoever they bee)
First I bequeath my soule to almighty god my maker & redeemer, trustinge in him onely to be saved, and my body to be buried in the Churchyard of Claxton aforesaide
Itm I give unto John (the sonne of my sonne John Day of Twyford deceassed) fyve shillings
Itm I give to Agnes & Ellin (the daughters of my said sonne John Daye) to eyther of them one flaxen sheete & one harden sheete, & to eyther of them one Coverlid
Itm I give to Elizabeth (the daughter of my sonne Thomas Daye) iiis iiiid
Itm I give to Willm (the sonne of my sonne Willm Daye) xs
Itm I give to Mary Rowbotham the best Coate I have (except one) and one payre of harden sheets
Itm All the residue of my goods unbequeathed I give & bequeathe to Willm Daye my sonne, whom I ordaine & make sole executor of this my last will & Testament
