This is the last Will and Testament of me Robert Daft of Lenton in the County of Nottingham gentleman

I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid and discharged by my executors hereinafter named so soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give and bequeath unto my friends Henry Sollory of the town on Nottingham plumber and glazier and Alfred Cox the elder of Park Hill in the parish of Radford in the county of Nottingham hosier and the survivor of them and the executors and administrators or such survivor the sum of one thousand two hundred pounds Upon Trust

As to the sum of three hundred pounds part thereof to pay the same unto my granddaughter Mary Woollerton and one hundred pounds to my grandson Frederick Daft Woollerton the children of my late daughter Mary Woollerton their executors or administrators at the end of three calendar months next after my decease

As to the sum of four hundred pounds further part of the said sum of one thousand and two hundred pounds Upon trust to pay the same unto and equally amongst all and every the child and children of my late son Frederick Daft their executors or administrators at the end of three calendar months next after my decease

And as to the remaining sum of four hundred pounds residue of the said sum of one thousand and two hundred pounds Upon trust to pay the same unto and equally amongst all and every the child and children of my late son John Daft their executors or administrators at the end of three calendar months next after my decease

I give and bequeath all the residue and remainder of my money and securities for money (subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses) unto my granddaughter Mary Woollerton, spinster, the daughter of my said late daughter Mary Woollerton her executors and administrators absolutely

I give and bequeath all and every my household goods and furniture plate linen and china and all other my personal estate and effects (not hereinbefore by me given and disposed of) unto and equally between my daughter Elizabeth the wife of Gervase Wright and my said granddaughter Mary Woollerton their executors and administrators

But in case the residue of my estate and effects after setting aside the before mentioned sum of one thousand two hundred pounds shall not be sufficient to pay and discharge my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses then it is my will and I do hereby declare that such deficiency shall be made good out of the said sum of one thousand two hundred pounds in the following manner namely one third thereof out of the share of such one thousand two hundred pounds hereinbefore given to the children of my said late daughter Mary Woollerton one other third thereof out of the share hereinbefore given to the children of my said late son Frederick Daft and the remaining third thereof out of the share hereinbefore given to the children of my said late son John Daft

I give and devise all mortgaged and Trust Estates which may be now or at the time of my decease vested in me Unto the said Henry Sollory Alfred Cox and the Survivor of them and the heirs executors and administrators of such survivor subject to such trusts and equity of redemption as may affect the same respectively at my decease the better to enable them or him to get in and receive the monies secured by any such mortgages for the purposes of this my Will

And I do hereby declare that every receipt or receipts which shall be given by the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this my Will for any monies payable to them or him under or by virtue of this my Will shall be an effectual discharge to the person or persons paying the same and that such persons shall not afterward be answerable for the loss misapplication or nonapplication thereof or any part thereof And that they or he shall be charged and chargeable only for as much of the said trust money and effects as they or he shall respectively actually receive notwithstanding their or either or their joining in any receipt or receipts for the sake of conformity And that they or he shall not be answerable or accountable for the acts deeds receipts or defaults of each other but each of them for their and his own acts deeds receipts and defaults only nor for involuntary losses And that it shall and may be lawful for them or him to retain to and reimburse themselves and himself out of the said trust monies or the interest thereof all such costs charges damages and expenses as they or either of them may expend pay sustain incur or be put unto in or about the execution of the trusts of this my Will or in anywise relating thereunto

And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Henry Sollory and Alfred Cox joint Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former and other Wills be me at any time heretofore made

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two.

I hereby certify that on the twenty sixth day of October in the year of our Lord 1853 Henry Sollory of the Town of Nottingham plumber and glazier and Alfred Cox the elder of the same town hosier the joint executors named in this the last Will and Testament of Robert Daft late of Lenton in the County of Nottingham in the Diocese of York gentleman deceased who swore well and truly to execute and perform the same and that the whole of the goods chattels credits of the said deceased within the Diocese of York do not amount in value to the sum of one thousand five hundred pounds
