In the name of God Amen, This the twenty fourth day of December in the year of our Lord God 1727 I Richard Daft of the Dove Cote in the Parish of Hickling & County of Nottingham being sick and weak of Body but of perfect mind & memory Do make and ordain this my Last Will & Testament in manner and form following 

First I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it hoping at the Resurrection to be made partaker of Everlasting happiness thro’ the merits of Christ Jesus And for my Body I bequeath it to the Earth to be buried in Christian like and decent manner at the descretion of my Executor hereafter nominated And for my Worldly Goods I dispose of them in manner & form following

Imprimis I give and bequeath to my loving Daughter Elizabeth Daft the sume of five pounds to be paid her when she comes to the Age of twenty one Years and likewise to be maintained with Meat Drink Washinge Lodging and all other wearing Apparel for five years after my Decease by the Executor hereafter named

Item I give & bequeath to my Daughter Margret Daft the sume of five pounds to be paid by my Executor within 18 months after my decease. 

Item I give and bequeath to my Loving Son Richard Daft the Sume of five pounds to be paid within 18 months after my decease

Item I give and bequeath to my Son John Daft the Sume of four pounds to be paid him when he comes to the age of twenty one years

Item I give and bequeath to my Son William Daft the Sume of five pounds to be paid him at the Age of twenty one years

Item I give & bequeath to my Son Thomas Daft the Sume of five pounds to be paid him at the Age of twenty one yeares

Item I give and bequeath to my Son Stephen Daft the Sum of five pounds to be paid at the Age of twenty one Years and likewise it is my Will and … that my Son Stephen should be maintained with meat drink washing and lodging and all other necessaries for wearing apparel for the space of two years after my Decease 

Lastly I give to my Son George Daft all my Goods and Chattles whom I make full and Sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament he my sd son George Daft paying all Debts Dues Legacyes whatsoever

Item I give to my Daughter Anne Hopkinson the Sum of 2 shillings
