Ann Coulton of Ab Kettleby 1783 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Ann Coulton of Ab Kettleby in the County of Leicester do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following

Imprimis I desire and my Will is that my Husband be my Executor and that he shall bury me in the Parish Church of Houghton as near him as possible if he is the longer Liver

I Give my Estates at Sileby to my Cousin William Herrick of Knighton after the decease of my Husband, and after the Decease of the said William Herrick of Knighton aforesaid, to my Cousin John Herrick of Beaumanor forever subject to such Legacies as I hereby appoint namely

To my Cousin William Herrick of Beaumanor the Sum of Fifty Pounds

To my Cousin Thomas Herrick of Beaumanor aforesaid the Sum of Forty Pounds

To Mrs Gildant the Sum of Forty Pound

To Samuel Crafts the Elder the Sum of Fifty Pounds and after his Decease to his Elizabeth Crafts and I also give the Sum of Twenty Pounds to his Daughter Elizabeth Crafts

I also Give to Sum of Fifty Pounds to my Cousin Catherine Ward of Belton and at her Decease to her Son Charles my Godson

And to Mrs Dyot of Fireford I give the Sum of Sixty Pounds

To my Mother Mrs Coulton of Evington the Sum of Forty Pounds

To my Sister Jane Coulton of Evington Forty Pounds

And to my Brother Richard Coulton of Houghton Forty Pounds

All which aforesaid Legacies to be paid out of the said Estates in Sileby

Signed sealed publish’d & decare’d by the said Testator as her Last will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our Names as witnesses hereunto in the presence of and at the request of the said Testator
