Edward Collishawe of Hickling 1654 Will and Inventory

August the 11th day Anno Domini 1650
In the name of god Amen I Edward Collishawe of Hicklinge in the County of Nottingham yeoman being weake & feeble in body but of perfect memory & understanding God be blessed for the same doe the day and year above written constitute make & ordaine this my last Will & Testament in manner form following (That is to say)
First of all I give my Soule to Allmighty God my Maker and preserver hopeing to be saved & redeemed by the alone merits & mercy of Jesus Christ who died for my Sinns & rose againe for my Justification And I give my body to the Earth from whence it came desireing that it may be buried in the churchyard of Hickling aforesaid neere to place where my Sonne Robert Collishawe his Children are buried
Itm I give & bequeath to the overseers for the poore in Hickling aforesaid 20s to be left for use and benefit yearly for the poore of the said Hickling
Itm I give & bequeath to my Sonn Robert Collishawe two lands in every field which I Edward Collishaw did purchase of George Dafte.
Itm I give & bequeath to my Sonne John Collishawe & his heires and assignes forever All that three oxgange of land with the appurtenances which I bought of John Butler together also with the house & homestead proffitts emolliments and appurtenances thereto belonging And also I give to John Collishawe my sonn & to his heires forever One Oxgang of land & one Close called by the name of greate rempston close with all things thereto belonging
Itm I give & bequeath to my Sonne in Law Richard Robinson & to Margaret Robinson his Espoused wife and my sole daughter forty pounds to be paid unto them of good & lawful English money with-in six months after my Departure out of this perfect World
Itm I give to every one of my Servants living with mee at my departure out of this perfect world 12d apeece to be paid unto them with-in six months next after my departure out of this world
Itm I give & bequeath my Sonne Robert Collishawes two children each of them one Ewe & lambe
Itm I give to my Sonne Richard Robinsons children to every one of them one ewe and lambe
Itm all the reste of my goods & chattells unbequeathed my debts paid & funeral discharged I give to Isobell Collishawe my loving Wife whome I make ordain & constitute my Sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament and lastly I doe by these presents renounce & disanull all former Wills & all codices of Wills Whatsoever formerly made by mee & so I rest my Selfe in the mercyes of god promised to me in Christ Jesus waiting upon my God until the time of my changinge shall come.
