In the name of god Amen for as much as the soule of man haith no Perpetuall Dwellinge in the carnall bodie of man hereupon Earth but is Seperated from it at the will and plesure of Almighty god therefore I William Chamberline senior of Hose in the County of Leicester yeoman being the 2 day of May in the yeare of our Lord God 1691 according to the Computation of the Church of England and in the 3 yeare of the Raigne of our soveraigne Lord and Lady King William and queen Mary of England Scotland France & Ireland King and queen Defenders of the faith & being in helth and perfect memory praysed be god Do make and ordain & declare this my last will and Testament in manner and form following
Imprimis I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty god my maker trusting to be saved by the Merrits of Jesus Christ my Redemer and my bodye whensoever it shall please god to call me … buried in the parrish Church or Churchyard of Hose aforesaid where my executors shall think most convenient And for all such goods Housis Teniments Chattells as the Lord hath Indued me withall in this Life I do hereby give and dispose of Them in Manner and form following
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto William Chamberline his heirs Executors or Administrators of Hose my onely soon [sic] Junior All that messuage or Tenament Adioyning to my frehould of the one sidd and my Lord of Rutland of the other sidd with all Gardens orchards baksides easements belonging to the appurtenancis which I purchased of Prudence Wade of Hose Widdow in the County of Leicester
Imprimis my will and Testament is All the goods Chattels that belongeth to mee or I Have or doeth Belong to me goods Cattell or Chattells Houshould goods things moveable or unmoveable I give and bequeath unto my soon in Law Robert Burns of Hose in the same towne and County all except that Message above mentioned Late occupied and Houlden by Thomas Judson
Lastly I make my soon Robert Burns full executor of this my Last will and Testament whatsoever
