William Henry Caunt of Plungar 1878 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Henry Caunt of Plungar in the County of Leicester Gentleman I being of sound mind and memory and understanding, as follows

I devise unto my Nephew Frank Wright all those my four Closes of Land containing about forty one acres be the same more or less situate in the parish of Granby in the county of Nottingham now in my own occupation And also all my Houses Lands and hereditaments consisting of sixty five acres be the same more or less situate within the Parish of Plungar in the County of Leicester and other residue and remainder of my real and personal property whatsoever and wheresoever it may be to my nephew Frank Wright his heirs executors administrators and assigns And all my household goods and furniture, personal estate and effects of what nature or kind soever the same may be, to my aforesaid nephew Frank Wright

I charge my estates with the weekly payment of Sixteen shillings weekly and every week to my Housekeeper Sarah Ann Francis [sic] MacNeive to be paid by my executor Frank Wright for the term of her natural life free from Income Tax & other charges and at her decease to become the property of my executor Frank Wright and it is my Will and desire that she shall occupy free of rent and other charges the House at the present time occupied by William Braithwaite Butcher for her natural life and that the House shall be kept dry and in good repair by my nephew Frank Wright out of the proceeds of my estates at Plungar & Granby and I charge my estates with the payment of my funeral and testamentary expences

I appoint my nephew Frank Wright my Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Sixteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred seventy eight

The Testator William Henry Caunt was late of Plungar in the County of Leicester Gentleman and died on the Fourth day of June 1878 at Plungar aforesaid
