In the Name of God Amen I William Caunt the Elder of Plungar in the County of Leicester Yeoman Being of A sound and disposing Mind & Memory and Understanding Do make this my Last Will And Testament in manner following, that is to say

First I Will that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences shall be Paid and Discharged By my Executors herein after named

I Give and bequeath Unto my Daughter Alice Caunt the sum of Four hundred Pounds to Be Paid to her Within twelve Calendar Months Next after My Decease By my Executors herein After Named And I Do hereby Charge And make Chargeable all my Messuages Lands and New Inclosed Grounds Tenements And hereditaments hereinafter by me Given and Devised Unto my two Sons William Caunt And John Caunt With the Payment of the said respective Legacie hereinbefore by me Given and Bequeathed unto the said Alice Caunt and Every Part thereof

Subject thereto I Give and Devise unto my Eldest son William Caunt the house I Now Live in With all the Buildings on the Ground Gardens Orchards homesteads and all the New Inclosed Grounds above the house Which Was Called the Milln Field as I have Now In Possession of Unto my Eldest son William Caunt and his heirs and Assigns For Ever

And I Give and Devise unto my son William Caunt the houses and homestead Orchard and Gardens across the Road to that I Now Live in Which I Purchased of William Giben Unto my Son William Caunt and his heirs and Assigns for Ever

I Do Give and Devise All that my house and the homesteads of Each side the house With all the Buildings on the Ground Yard Garden Orchard and all the New Inclosed Grounds that I have Now in Possession of Which Joins the house and homesteads I purchased of One Mr Graves Lying and Being in Plungar Neather Field I Give Unto my Youngest son John Caunt his heirs and Assigns for Ever

Joining these my two Sons William Caunt And John Caunt Chargeable With the Payment of Four hundred Pounds to be Paid to my Daughter Alice Caunt out of my real Estates above Mentchined Within Twelve Calendar Months Next After my Decease to Be Paid to her By William Caunt And John Caunt Equall Between them Share and Share Alike

And I Join My Wife Mary Caunt and my two Sons William Caunt and John Caunt Executors of this my Last Will and testament of all I Now Possess houses Land Stock and Crops of All sorts and Stock of all sorts and to Join at the Cotton Trade and all the Carding and Spinning and Reel hinges To Gather as they may Now Stand this is my Will

And my Will and Pleasure is that my Daughter Alice Caunt shall have a Good home, so Long as she Continues Single, and so Fishint Board and Login for her And my Will is that at the Death of my Wife Mary Caunt my two real Estates shall Be Saparatley Devided to my two Sons William Caunt and John Caunt and all the Stock of all sorts & Crops of all sort to Be Equal Dived [sic] Between them two

And I Give all my Cotton Carding and Spinning and Reel Engines together With All The Implements thereunto Belonging as the same are Standing and Being and Belonging And to Be Equal Devided Between them Share and Share a Like And to Enter Into Partenner Ship at the Business

In Witness wheare of I the Said William Caunt the Testator to this my Last Will and Testament Contained In two Sheets of Paper to the these two Sheets I have set my hand and seal The 4 Day of May In the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred And Ninety two
