George Carver of Scalford 1817 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me George Carver of Scalford in the County of Leicester
I give and devise all those two several pieces or parcels of Land or Ground situate and being with the Liberty of Scalford aforesaid the one adjoining the Poors piece the other the Parsonage containing in the whole by Estimation eleven Acres or thereabouts be the same more or less to my Son William Carver and his Heirs for ever
I give and devise one other piece or parcel of Land or Ground Situate and being within the Liberty of Scalford aforesaid adjoining to or bordering upon two Closes belonging to William Fox and Richard Sharp containing by Estimation ten Acres or thereabouts be the same more or less to my Daughter Ann Carver and her Heirs for ever
I also give and devise all that Messuage or Tenement Garden and premises situate and being within the Township of Scalford aforesaid in Tenure of George Allen to my said Son William Carver and Daughter Ann Carver as Tenants in common to them and their Heirs for ever
I give and bequeath to my Daughter Amy Stevenson the sum of five Pounds
To my Son John Carver five Pounds
To my Son George Carver five Pounds
And to my Daughter Sarah Pick five Pounds
All the residue of my Goods Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath to my said Son William Carver and Daughter Ann Carver whom I also appoint full Executors jointly of his my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made and this only to be my last Will and Testament
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty eighth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six

Let a probat be made to William Carver of Scalford farmer and Grazier and Ann Carver of the same place Spinster the joint Executors named in the will of the within named George Carver who died at Scalford in the month of March last
They being duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the Testator’s Goods, Chattel and Credits as they were at his death, without deducting any debts owing by him therefrom did not amount in value to the sum of Three hundred pounds
