This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Carpendale of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Spinster

I direct my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid by my Executor hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease

I give and bequeath to my Sister Mary Musson of Harby Widow the legacy or sum of One hundred pounds and to my Sister Elizabeth Key the Wife of John Key the sum of One hundred pounds

And I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my ready money and securities for money personal estate and effects whatsoever unto John Spencer commonly called John Carpendale of Wyverby in the County of Leicester Farmer for his own use And I also give and devise all estates vested in me at my decease as Mortgagee or Trustee unto the said John Spencer otherwise John Carpendale his executors administrators and assigns according to the nature of such estates respectively

And lastly I appoint the said John Spencer otherwise John Carpendale sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Ann Carpendale the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty three

Signed published and declared by the said Ann Carpendale the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us being both present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names as Witnesses

On the twenty ninth day of May 1863 the Will of Ann Carpendale late of Long Clawson in the county of Leicester Spinster was proved by the Oath of John Spencer otherwise John Carpendale the sole Executor named in the Will he having been first sworn duly to administer

Sworn under £600 and that the Testatrix died on the twenty eighth day of March 1863.
