This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Caile of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Widow
I give and bequeath to my God-Daughter Sarah Brex Five pounds and my largest set of Drawers
I give and bequeath unto Ann Roberts One Hundred Pounds
To John Summerson and George Summerson Fifty Pounds each
To the three Children of Maria Bointon Nineteen Guineas each and to Benjamin Flintoft Taylor the Son of Eliza Taylor Nineteen Guineas
All which said above named Legatees (except Sarah Brex) are the Nephews and Niece and Great Nephews of my deceased Husband
I also give and bequeath to the only Daughter of my late Nephew John Gamble Nineteen Guineas
I give to Mr Joseph Wright Bissill of Nether Broughton aforesaid Farmer and Mr Thomas Brown of Upper Broughton in the County of Nottingham Gentleman Two Hundred Pounds Upon Trust to place the same out at Interest for the benefit of my Sister Lucy Heywood during her life the Interest to commence from my death and after her decease Upon Trust to divide the principal in the same manner as I shall hereinafter direct as to the residue of my personal property
I direct the last Legacy to be paid Duty free
As to the residue or remainder of all my Household Goods, Money, Securities for money and personal Estate and Effects I give and bequeath the same to my Executors In Trust to convert my Goods into money, to pay my Debts Funeral and Testamentary Expences and to divide the remainder of all my property into seventeen equal part and to pay one such seventeenth part of each of my following Nephews and Nieces (viz) Joseph Heywood, Ann Harding, Thomas Heywood, John Hopkins, Mary Fardell, George Hopkins, Ann Dickman, John Hall, John Perry, Esau Perry, Mary Washbourne, William Gamble, John Brex and William Brex and as to one other seventeenth part to divide the same equally between all the children of my Niece Elizabeth Brewster who shall be living at my death share and share alike and as to one other seventeenth part to divide the same equally between the two children of my late Niece Mary Whittington share and share alike and as to the remaining seventeenth part to divide the same equally between the two Children of my late nephew William Hopkins share and share alike
In case any of the above Legatees shall die either in my life or after my death before the said residue and the said principal Sum of Two hundred pounds shall be divisible I direct the share of him or her so dying to be paid to his or her surviving Brothers and Sisters
I give my Executors Five Pounds each for their trouble and request them to see that my Funeral is respectably conducted and that I be buried by the side of my late Husband at Nether Broughton aforesaid
I appoint the said Joseph Wright Bissill and Thomas Brown joint Executors of this my Will
In Witness whereof I the said Sarah Caile the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand his Twelfth day of October One thousand eight hundred and forty nine

Joseph Wright Bissill of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Farmer and Thomas Brown of Upper Broughton in the County of Nottingham Gentleman the joint Executors in this Will named were duly sworn to the Truth and faithful performance thereof as usual and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the Sum of One thousand five hundred pounds and that the deceased died on the eleventh day of August last past
