In the name of God amen, the Thirteth day of Aprill 1682 according to the Computation of the Church of England I Jarvis Bampton of Stathorne in the County of Leicester Shephard being of perfect memory and remembrance prased be god, doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following viz

First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker, hopeing that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins, and as for my body to be buried in Christian buriall in the Churchyard of Stathorne

Item I give unto my son James Bampton Twenty shillings of good and lawfull money

Item all the rest of my goods money Chattel and Cattel Whatsoever I give unto my son Thomas Bampton and my son Richard Bampton and my son in Law John Assellin whom I make and Joyne Executors of this my Last Will and Testament revokeing all other wills and Testaments

In wittnes whereof I here unto sett to my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
