In the name of God amen Aprill the 5th Anno Dom 1681 I William Rowell of Saxelby in the Soake of Rothley in the County of Leicester Shepeard beinge sicke of bodie but of good & perfect memorie (praysed be the Lord for the same) doe make this my Last Will & Testament in manner & forme followinge
First I bequeath my Soule to Almighty God my Creator hopeinge & verily assuringe myself through God his mercies & Christ his merritts to be partaker of life everlastinge and my body I bequeath to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buryed in Christian Buriall in the Church yarde of Saxelby aforesaid at the discretion of my Executrix & for my worldly Goods which it hath please the Lord to Lend me I doe dispose of them in manner & forme followinge
Imprimis I give to my Sonne John Black one Shillinge
Item I give to my Sonne George Blacke one Shilling
Item I give to my Sonne Adam Blacke one Shilling
Item I give to my brother John Rowell two Shillings six pence
Item I give to my Cousin Thomas Rowell Two Shillings
Lastly I give to my loveing Wife Temperance Rowell all the rest of my Goods unbequeathed whom I make Executrix of this my last Will & Testament shee payinge my legacies as I have bequeathed them & my debts if any be & my funerall Charges & thus I make my last Will & Testament
