In the Name of God Amen the fiveteenth day of February in the year of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred Seaventy and Two I Richard Browne of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester yeoman being sicke and weake in body but of good and perfect memory God bee praised doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following

First I comend my Soule to Almighty God my Creatour assuredly beleiveing that I shall receive full pardon and free remission of all my sinnes and be saved by the pretious death and passion of my blessed Saviour and redeemer Christ Jesus and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be Buried in Such decent manner as to my Executors hereafter named shall be thought meete and convenient and as concerning the worldly good the Lord hath lent mee

First I give and bequeath to my Wife this house wherein I live and one oxgan of Land there unto belonging for and during her naturall Life and after her Decease to my Sonne George Browne till Micklemas after and then the house during the Term of the Lease

Item I give unto my daughter Jane Browne Three score Pounds to be paid in the Seaventy six year of our Lord and ten pounds in household goods

Item I give to my Sonne Henry Browne that Lease of Gadsby Land and Twenty Pounds which my Sonne William is to pay in the year of our Lord seaventy seaven

It I give to all my Grandchildren twelve pence apeece

It I give my Sonne Richard Browne tenn shillings

It I give to George all my sheepe but five and possession of the Closes

It I give to the poore tenn shillings

And as for all my goods and Chattals unbequeathed I give to my Wife whome I doe make my Sole and Whole Executor

In wittnesse hereof I have hereunto this last will and Testament sett my hand and Seale
