This is the last Will and Testament of me William Wright the Elder of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Yeoman

First I desire to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named And as for my Worldly Estate which hath pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose thereof as follows

In the first place I give and Devise all that Moiety or undivided full half part of all that new Inclosed peice or parcell of Land with the Appurtenances lying and being within the Manor or Lordship of Nether Broughton aforesaid Containing by Estimation Twelve Acres or thereabouts (be the same more or less) And now or late in my own Tenure or Occupation and which was allotted unto me upon the late Inclosure of the open Land Common right therein and in which my late Dear Wife was not settled and Assured of in and by her Marriage Settlement unto my Youngest Son John Wright his Heirs and Assignes for ever To Have and to hold the said Moiety or undivided full half part of the said new Inclosed peice or parcell of Land and premises with the Appurtenances unto my said youngest Son John Wright his heirs and Assignes for ever

And Also I give and Devise all that my other Moiety or undivided full half part of all that my said new Inclosed peice or parcell of Land and premises with their Appurtenances so Allotted unto me as aforesaid In lieu and in full satisfaction of the said one oxgang of Land and Common right therein and into which my said late wife was not settled and assured of in and by her said Marriage Settlement unto my Two daughters Sarah Wright and Mary Wright their Heirs and Assignes for ever To Have and to hold the said last mentioned Moiety or undivided full half part of the said new Inclosed peice or parcell of Land and premises with the Appurtenances unto my said Two Daughters Sarah Wright and Mary Wright their heirs and Assignes for ever to be equally divided between them share and share alike as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants And my Mind and Will is That in case Either of my said Daughters Sarah Wright and Mary Wright shall Dye before she Attains her Age of Twenty one years without issue of her Body lawfully begotten Then and in such case her share of the said last mentioned Moiety or undivided full half part of the said new Inclosed peice or parcell of Land and premises of her so dying as aforesaid to the Survivor of them and to my said Son John Wright their heirs Assignes for ever to be equally divided between them share and share alike and to take and Enjoy the same of Tenants in Common and not as Joint Tenants And my Mind and Will further is That in case both my Said Two Daughters shall Dye before they attain their said respective Age or Ages of Twenty one years without issue of their respective Body or Bodies lawfully begotten Then and in such case I give and Devise the said last mentioned Moiety or undivided full half part of the said new Inclosed peice or parcell of Land and premises with their Appurtenances unto my said son John Wright his heirs and Assignes for ever

And Also I give and bequeath unto my said Son John Wright the sum of Ten pounds And also I give unto my said Daughter Sarah Wright the sum of five pounds And Also I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Mary Wright the sum of five pounds to be paid to him her and them respectively within Twelve Months next after my decease by my Eldest Son William Wright And I do hereby Subject and charge all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances Scituate standing and being in Nether Broughton aforesaid and wherein I now inhabit and dwell with the just and true payment of the said three last mentioned Legacies of Ten pounds five pounds and five pounds unto my said Son John Wright and Two Daughters Sarah Wright and Mary Wright so given to them respectively by me as aforesaid And from and immediately after payment thereof Then I give and Devise my said last mentioned Messuage or Tenement and premises with the Appurtenances unto my said Son William Wright his heirs and Assignes for ever

And Lastly all and Singular my Household Goods and personal Estate whatsoever (my Funerall Expences being first paid and discharged) I give and bequeath unto my four Children William John Sarah and Mary Wright to be equally divided Amongst them Share and Share alike

And I do hereby Appoint my Said Son William Wright full and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament Revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said William Wright the Elder and Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Nine

On the seventeenth day of February 1783 William Wright the sole Executor named in the within written will was sworn to the due Execution thereof & at the same time made Oath that all the Testators personal Estate at the time of his death did not amount to one hundred pounds
