In the name of god Amen This thirde daye of September in the yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lorde Charles by the grace of god of England Scotland France and Irelane Kinge defendor of the faith &c The sixte 1630 I Robert Wrighte the elder of the towne of Claxton als Longe Clauston in the Countie of Leceister Yeoman beinge sicke of bodie but of good & perfecte memorye (praysed bee god) Doe make and ordayne this my laste will & testament In manner followeinge

Imprimis I give & bequeave my soule to god that gave it and my bodie to be buried in the parish church of Claxton aforesaide

Itim I give to the poore of Claxton aforesaide tenne shillinges to be distributed at the discretion of my executor and the overseers of the poore then beinge

Itim I give towardes the repayreinge the Causey about the Castle ditch 12s

Itim I give to everye servant about my house 4d

Itim I [“give” missing] to Arnold Kellham twelve pence

Itim I give to Anne Freeman twelve pence

Itim to my god sonne Robert Hicklinge towe shillinges

Itim I give unto my eldest sonne John Wrighte and to his heires for ever, my cheife of eighteene pence yearely, Due from Richard Hauley and William Robinson, theire heires and successors

And to my saied sonne John I give my mustarde Querns and five shillinges of money

Itim I give to my daughter Elizabeth Hicklinge Twentie shillinges

Itim I give to my daughter Nutt five shillinges

Itim I give to Edwarde Wright the sonne of my sonne Roberte Wrighte a Table and frame and a gavelocke or Croe of Iron

Itim I give to all they rest of they Children of all my sonnes and daughters that now are or that hereafter shall bee lawfully borne to anye of them Twelve pence

Itim I give to my Cosen Roberte Moore of Kettlybye twelve pence

Itim I give to Robert Bell the Elder of Claxton aforeaied a Dubblet

Itim I give to Roberte Bell the younger Twelve pence

Itim I give to my goddaughter Isabell Harvie of Grantham twelve pence

And my will is that all and everye their Legacies be payed within one whole yeare next after my discease

Itim I give and bequeave unto my thirde sonne Richarde Wrighte foure pounds of lawfull English money, my bed & bedstead with all other they apportinances thereto belonginge And also all my rayment except a dubblet to Robert Bell which is given before

I also give him all other thinges & Impleaments of myne at his house already

The rest of all my goods unbequeaved I give and bequeave unto my sonne Roberte Wright whome I make & ordayne full & sole executor of this my last will and testament to see the same performed & my bodie to bee reverently brought to the grounde

Lastly I make & ordayne Edwarde Hicklinge & William Nutt myne sonne in Lawe overseers of this my last will & testament Giveinge to either of them twelve pence for theire paynes Confirmeinge the same under my hand the daye and yeare first above written
