This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Wing of the Parish of Stathern in the County of Leicester Cottager

First I direct all my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses be paid

I Give devise and bequeath all my Freehold House Land and appurtenances belonging thereto situate in the Parish of Stathern in the County of Leicester and also my Live Stock, Household furniture and all other my personal estate and effects belonging to me unto my affectionate Wife Rebecca Ann Wing for the term of her natural life or so long as she remains my Widow

I subject my personal estate to the payment of my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses

I direct that an Inventory be taken at the time of my decease of my Live Stock, Household furniture and other effects signed by my said Wife Rebecca Ann Wing and handed over to my Son Joseph Wing but my said Wife shall not be answerable for any loss that may depreciate in the change of Stock or wear of Goods and from and after her decease or the time of her third Marriage I Give devise and bequeath all my said Freehold House, Land and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my Son Joseph Wing his Heirs and assigns for ever subject nevertheless to the Payment of the Mortgage and other incumbrances affecting the same and also after the decease of my said Wife I Give and bequeath such of my personal estate and effects as my Wife my then be possessed of belonging to me unto my said Sone Joseph Wing In his own absolute use and benefit

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Son Joseph Wing to be the Executor for carrying this my last Will and Testament into effect

And I do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this Sheet of Paper to contain this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Joseph Wing the testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this seventh Day of February in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand and Eight Hundred and Fifty two

Signed and declared by the above named Testator Joseph Wing as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other have set our Names as Witnesses thereto

Joseph Wing of the Parish of Stathern in the County of Leicester Butcher the sole executor in this will named was fully sworn to the truth & faithful performance thereof as usual & that the goods chattels & credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds & that the deceased died on the 14th day of March Last past

In the Court of the Commissary of the Lord Bishop of Lincoln in and for the Archdeaconry of Leicester Appeared personally Nathaniel Kemm of Eaton in the County of Leicester and made Oath that he is the Writer of and one of the Subscribed Witnesses to the last Will and Testament of Joseph Wing late of the Parish of Stathern in the County and Archdeaconry of Leicester Cottager deceased now hereunto annexed and marked with the letter A bearing date the seventh day of February which was in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two and having carefully perused and inspected the said Will he further made oath that the interlineation of the words “or so long as she remains my Widow” between the ninth and tenth lines from the top of the first side or page of the said Will, the interlineation of the words “and other effects” between the thirteenth and fourteenth lines from the top of the said first side or page and the interlineation of the words “or the time of her third Marriage” between the eighteenth and nineteenth lines from the top of the said first page of the said will were made and written by him this Deponent previous to the execution of the said Will And the Deponent lastly made oath that the said Will is now in the same state plight and condition as when executed by the said deceased on the day month and year aforesaid
