John Williamson of Holwell 1843 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Williamson of Holwell in the County of Leicester Carpenter

I direct all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expences to be fully paid

I Give and Devise All that messuage or Tenement with the outbuildings to the Pump now occupied by Widow Taylor and called the “Nether House” and Garden thereto belonging in Holwell aforesaid unto my Son Richard Williamson and his assigns during his life And after his decease I Give and Devise the said Messuage or Tenement and hereditaments Unto my daughter Cordelia Williamson her heirs and assigns for ever

I Give and Devise All that my other Messuage or Tenement called the “Upper House” with all the Appurtenances thereto belonging situate in Holwell aforesaid in my own occupation and all other my Real and Personal Estate and Effects Unto my two friends John Buck Farmer of Holwell aforesaid and John Jackson the Elder of Seagrave in the said County of Leicester Carpenter their heirs executors and administrators Upon Trust as soon as my said Daughter Cordelia shall attain to her full age of Twenty one years That my said Trustees or the Survivor of them do and shall sell the said House called the Upper House and all other my Estates not before disposed of in such manner as they or he shall think proper And with the monies arising therefrom as well as from the disposal of my Personal Estate and Effects to pay and divide the same unto and between my daughter Sarah Woodford the said Cordelia Williamson and the four Children of my late daughter Mary Posnett, the said Children taking their late Mothers third share and to be paid to them as they Respectively come to the age of Twenty one years

And I do appoint the said John Buck and John Jackson Joint Executors In Trust of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

And for facilitating the sale of my said Real Estate and the Indemnity of the purchaser or purchasers thereof I do declare that the Receipt or Receipts of my said Trustees or the Survivor of them or his heirs shall be good and sufficient discharge and discharges to such Purchaser or Purchasers who shall not be obliged to see to the application or be answerable for the loss misapplication or nonapplication thereof

And Lastly I further declare that my said Trustees shall be at liberty to Retain all necessary expences they may be put to in executing the Trusts of this my will and that neither of them shall be answerable for any thing except his own wilful neglect or default not one for the other but each for his wilful Acts deeds neglects and defaults only

Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Williamson the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at his Request in his presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due Execution thereof
