Thomas Wilford of Stathern 1763 Will

I Thomas Willford of Stathern in the County of Leicester Grocer and Chapman being of Sound disposing Mind Memory and understanding hereby revoking all former and other wills by me made Declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and Form following

First I will that all my Just Debts and the Expences of my Funeral be in the first Place paid and Discharged and after payment thereof I give and bequeath the residue and remainder of my Personal Estate to my Dear Wife Sarah and my Son Thomas Equally to be Divided between them Share and Share alike

Item I give Devise and Bequeath unto my Dear Wife Sarah and my Son all such Real Estate as I shall die Possessed of Scituate and being at Hickling in the County of Nottingham and Stathern aforesaid for and during their joint lives and from and after the Decease of either of them Then I give and Devise the same to the Survivor of them his or her Heirs and Assigns for ever

But my mind and Will is and I do hereby Order and direct that in Case my said Dear Wife Sarah shall Marry again in the lifetime of my said Son Thomas Then and in Such Case I do hereby Disannul and make void the Devise to her as aforesaid and in lieu thereof do Give and bequeath unto her the Sum of One hundred Pounds for the Payment of which I do hereby Charge and make Subject all my real Estate and Do also In such Case Give and Devise all such my real Estate unto my Son Thomas his Heirs and Assigns for ever Subject to the Payment of the said Sum of One hundred Pounds to my said Dear Wife aforesaid

And I do hereby nominate Constitute and Appoint my said Dear Wife Sarah Sole Executrix of this my Will

In Witness whereof the said Thomas Wilford the Testator hath hereunto sett his hand and affixed his Seal the twenty ninth day of June One thousand seven hundred and Sixty three

Signed sealed Published and declared by the said Thomas Wilford the Testator (the words (in the life time of my said Son Thomas) being first interlined between the Eighteenth and nineteenth lines from the Top) as and for his last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the Presence of each other have Subscribed our names as witnesses hereto
