This is the last Will and Testament of me Edmund Wilford of Scalford in the County of Leicester Farmer

I give and devise all my Messuages Land and other Real Estate to my Wife Ann Wilford during such part of her life as she shall remain my Widow and after her death or second marriage I give and devise the same to my two Sons John Henry Wilford and Edmund Wilford their heirs and assigns for ever as Tenants in Common

I give and bequeath my furniture, farming Stock and Implements money and all other my personal estate and effects to my said Wife during such part of her life as she shall remain my Widow and after her death or second marriage whichever shall first happen I give and bequeath the same to my said two Sons in equal shares as Tenants in common

I direct and declare that my said Wife shall during such part of her life as she remains my Widow have the absolute and uncontrolled use and enjoyment of my said personal estate so that she may be able to carry on my farming business for her own benefit and that she shall not be answerable or accountable for any loss or depreciation in the value or quantity of my said personal estate

And I appoint my said Wife sole Executrix of this my Will

Signed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses

At Leicester on the Tenth day of October 1882 Administration (with the Will annexed) of the Personal Estate of Edmund Wilford late of Scalford in the County of Leicester Farmer deceased who died on the Twenty fifth day of July 1882 at Scalford aforesaid was granted to John Henry Wilford, the Son, one of the Universal Legatees substituted in the said Will he having been first sworn duly to administer Ann Wilford, the Wife, the sole Executrix and Universal Legatee for life if she remained a Widow, named in the said Will having died in the Testator’s lifetime
